Is Calenco a Web CMS?

Not really. Actually, it is really hard to get through all those acronyms, right? Generally when people read CMS (Content management System), they think Web CMS.

Calenco is really a format agnostic CMS. For acronym lovers we could call it an XML CCMS (XML Components Content Management System), meaning it manages content as XML, reusable components. While Calenco could serve as a Web CMS, after all, Calenco can generate any format in the output, it is not specifically designed for that and lacks many features compared to specialized Web CMS like Joomla, Drupal or Jahia, just to cite a few.
